    Intro: Grandma 61 Bullet

    Hi All,

My family is a long time 61 tbird owners. My grandpa got the car in 62 or 63. He took my grandmas Mercury to the car dealer and traded it in without even asking her. My grandma was very strong and it's amazing my grandpa lived thru that day. But after she got mad, she tried the car out. It's a White car with black leather interior, 390/auto with all power accessories. Well, she fell in love. I'm spent my childhood in the back of that car with my older brother and sister. When grandpa passed in 1987, the car was parked in her garage in San Bruno. There is sat until 2017, when I pulled it out and dragged to my best friend who is a master mechanic. We redid the heads and found a surprise on the 85k original mile, motor never apart engine. The underside of the intake had an engine bolt in GOO. It had been there since new. Well after getting the motor running great, the trans rebuilt, the rear end services, new tires, new brakes including wheel cylinders, and new brake system, it was up and running. I'm looking forward to enjoying it for the first time this summer. Have lots of ?, so expect a few posts. I also have another fun car. It's a 1970 plymouth hemicuda convertible. That's a fun car too... Have to figure out how to post from my laptop of a pic of the car...
