    Almost Done

Well, it took 4 years, but it's almost complete. I've actually owned the car for about 30 years, but didn't really start putting it together until 4 years ago. Took the car out and washed it, clayed it, and waxed it. Things we can do in So Calif. I needed a little touch up work after reassembly, and I think the over spray from the air brush got on the car. All good now and paint is back to being like a babies bottom. Still need to mount the side view mirrors and fit up the fender skirts. Then the challenge is to see if I am brave enough to drive it on the public streets.

My first squarebird was white with a red and white interior. It's still one of the best looking color combinations there is. I can understand your apprehension driving it but you just have to bite the bullet and do it. The first road test is always the scariest. Good luck.

Beautiful car! Nice job! Now it's time to use some no rinse car wash product when possible. I couldn't throw water on mine in NE Ohio.

She's looking really nice Nyles. I don't know about using a hose, I always wash my Bird with the two bucket method. The last thing I want is water inside the doors.

It won't get washed often using the hose, but I did want to check to see how well I got the car sealed up. Did pretty well overall.
When the doors were apart, I made sure everything was cleaned up internally and then used a spray undercoating on the internals and made sure all the drain holes were clean and open.
Being in So Calif, the car shouldn't be getting to wet.

Nyles, that is a thing of beauty! Nicely done. When you get a chance can you post some pics of the interior?

Will do. I may take it back to the upholstery shop, as I'm not totally happy with the fit in the back seat.
I'll also post once I get the chrom wheel centers on and side view mirrors mounted.

Nyles, I'm looking at the rear truck lock cover, looks like yours tips out to the side? Mine goes straight down.
