I'm not upset with them and their "restrictions", I simply switched to a company that didn't have the restrictions Grundy and Haggerty told me they had. Interesting part, the coverage was also cheaper.
If it seemed I stated I was upset with them, no, just having a car insured in a manner that doesn't match how I use them, and would make the coverage invalid is well, stupid.
I also do have a "Stated" value policy on the cars, but the company had me send them lots of information and photos of the car. They didn't have the cars appraised, but they discussed with me what they thought the values were and if the amounts I started with were appropriate. They disagreed with me on one car. They would only write it, if we upped the amount one of the cars.
Heacock's biggest restriction, no commuting, well yeah, and that the car be in a secured structure or under a parking structure behind a secured gate. All my covered cars are garaged, so that wasn't an issue for me.
Being able to drive the hotrod to say, Safeway to rent a Redbox, or to O'Reillys to grab a part, that is how I like to use them. Not to trailer it to a car show and sit in the parking lot staring at it.
