    Quarter window adjustment

    1959 convertible

I have reviewed the TRL on this topic. However I'm trying to establish a measurable baseline. How much of the chrome frame should show above the fender? I recognize that the window is tilted forward and once adjusted will "level off the frame".

    Thanks

No two cars are identical. That's why each car needs to be adjusted independently. The quarter window needs to be adjusted with the top up and in the locked position so there is no sag. Then the quarter window is adjusted to fill the gap between the top of the window and the top weatherstrip without binding or having too much tilt in or out when the top is put up and down. The door window needs to be adjusted in the same manner. When correctly done both windows should be even at the top.
