    Engine Vibration -- Need Help

My engine vibrates with the car in park.

There is no vibration at idle up to 1000 RPM.

In the steering wheel, you can feel it begin slightly at 1000 RPM, then getting much worse at 1400 RPM, then almost completely gone at 1700 RPM and over.

If I put my hand on the engine at these same RPM's, I don't feel the vibration as much as I do through the steering wheel -- but I can still feel it.

    Harmonic Balancer:
The timing mark on the Harmonic Balancer lines up with the pointer, and gives good timing at 6 BTC. But I don't know if even a little shift in the balancer rubber could cause this much vibration.

    Motor Mounts:
The front motor mounts are rock hard. They might as well be metal to metal. I had planned to change them.

Could it be the balancer, and am I feeling it more in the steering wheel because of the rock hard motor mounts??

What else could be causing this vibration?

    I would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks
    Bart

Someone who is a mechanic told me that two other sources of the vibration could be an unbalanced Torque Converter or Flywheel.

    So the possibilities are:

    1. Harmonic Balancer
    2. Rock Hard Motor Mounts
    3. Unbalanced Flywheel
    4. Torque Converter

Has anyone had any experience with vibration caused by any of these four things?

    Thanks
