After many months of gathering parts, my 390 is ready to be installed. I am just waiting for the new exhaust system to come in next week. It has been rebuilt, from what I have been told it has a mild cam. I have an Edelbrock Performer intake with a Holley 4150 600CFM. It had headers but they do not fit the Bird so I will take the stock ones off my 352 and use them. I am also putting in a newly rebuilt C6 as well. Wish me luck. Here are some pictures.

Dan, your pictures are fabulous. Please take lots more. As a paid Member, you may put them on your own Squarebirds.org web space if you like. (I'll teach you how to do it, too.)
Your setup looks great and I'm glad to see you have a nice alternator. That will really come in handy because it outputs at least twice the power of your original generator.
Let us know what all was done for your engine overhaul. Good move to the C-6! - DaveMember, Sons of the American Revolution

That is a Great looking engine!
Headers would be a neat addition.
Headman makes or used to make headers for the 59 but it states that only works with no AC and Power Steering.
It may be worth a call to Headman and see if they still have them and if there is a work around.

I think the text box ran out of space after the "For Sale..." It probably said something like in some states.Comment

Very nice ...
looking engine, but you might want to reconsider that DUI (GM based) distributor. It will never look right under a ford hood. You could sell it and go with a Ford Dura Spark electronic unit (about $65 rebuilt from NAPA). I've used those DUI units in the past and haven't been very impressed. MikeComment
