I'm glad you finally got around to checking this from ten days ago. I asked about it but no answer.

    3. If the water pump is moving coolant,
    4. If the thermostat is stuck shut,[/B]
    5. If the heat riser valve is stuck shut (in the RH exhaust manifold).
You may want to take John's advice and wire it open. This will give your cooling system relief as well. - Dave

THUNDERBIRD RANCH has the PCV fitting on the rear of the intake.
By air cleaner adapter I meant... Any idea where I can get this one?

You are also going to need a push-on filler cap with no internal filter.

All hoses must be fabricated with PCV rated hose and not heater hose.

As for the cap - on the Rock Auto there is either this one or this one which both are for the '66 Birds and specified as 'w/Open Emission'. Do I get it right that both are with the outlet and without the internal filter?

As for the hoses - thank you for the tip. Hopefully I will be able to get those locally. What is the difference between the heater and PCV types?

                You have a '59, right?

FORD did not go to screw-on filler caps until the 1965 model run. You have an oil filler tube @ the front of the intake or is your application not stock (later style engine) (photo)?

HTR HOSE is rated for pressure whereas PCV rated hose is rated for vacuum and is oil resistant.

The system you are designing is called a CLOSED SYSTEM.

Yes, I have a standard '59 / 352 with an oil filler tube @ the front of the intake. It should be the same as this one (on the picture), no?

In the PCV section/manual here they say: '...Note the oil cap is a push on type used by Ford from 1965 to 1968.' That's why I've chosen those oil cups from the Rock Auto. Are those not correct ones?

The cap shown in the AD-

..is a Twist-On cap. It may be that the ILL is generic.

The only application for a push-on cap 1965 to 1968 was the HI-PO intakes from FOMOCO.

The cap in the installation photo is correct.

This is the cap that should be needed for the conversion-

Seems I am having difficulty identifying parts circled in red ink...

Thanks a lot. $10 for a bolt, now that's how a business is made...

Good place - the parts123.com. I must be blind but is there a search engine that serches the wanted part in ALL related shops?
