Decided to replace the resistor wire with a standard wire since I have the electronic ignition. I thought the resistor wire would run all the way to coil, but as best I could determine, the resistor wire runs from the switch to a bullet connector right at the fire wall. Then the other side of the bullet connector has the 2 wires which appear to have one run to the coil and the other from the ign. side of the starter solenoid. Makes sense. Am I looking at this correctly?
Also, if I don't have the resistor wire running to the ign. coil, do I need to replace the coil? I was probably going to get a pertronix coil anyway, but may have to order one.
