    leaf springs

Does anyone have a recommendation on who to buy leaf springs from?

I replaced the front coil springs on my Bird and I'd like to replace the rear leaf springs as well.

How hard of a job is this?

    RE: leaf springs

Replacing the leaf springs is an easy job on these cars. Just jack the car up far enough that both rear wheels are off the ground. Then support the axle. The hardest part is getting off the sometimes rusted bolts that hold the leafspring on. Be careful of some movement of the spring when you loosen and remove the bolts. It is not a hard of a job as removing the fornt springs. Lots of the T-Bird vendors have leaf springs. I think there is a company that just sells springs for old cars. I forget the name though.
