    Roof and trunk color

    Hi,
I have a 1959 thunderbird. The main body is blue and the roof is white.
I cannot find a code for the roof colour also what colour is the inside of the trunk.

    Thanks

Your Data Plate should be on the drivers side pillar that your door shuts on. Your Data Plate should tell you what color combination your Tbird left the factory with. It should be something that has the code of your Blue color and the code for your White color, which is Code E for Corinthian White on a '59. So it could be, for example, CE for C=Baltic Blue and E=Corinthian White. The first letter always indicates the color of the body, and the second letter the color of the top. It could be JE for Steel Blue and Corinthian White. Or NE for Starlight Blue and Corinthian White. Look at your Color code on your Data Plate and it should tell you what the code is. Here is a link to the '59 Color Codes.

And yes, the trunk color should certainly be the same color as the body of the car.

You should have two codes on your data plate under color if it was factory two tone paint. The second code is the roof color. There was only one white in 1959; Colonial White color code E.

          Hi,
The code is L so am I correct in assuming the roof should be the same as the body color. Also inside the trunk looks like an off white. Would this be the colonial white?
          Thanks

If that is the OEM Data Plate, your Tbird left the plant with a solid L 921 Light Blue/Gray SALES NAME/(REMARKS) Diamond Blue (Also a Lincoln color) (Nearly white) paint job on it, top and bottom. If the trunk is white, it could be Corinthian White or any other white color, considering someone in the past re-painted your Tbird. Or it could be a faded light blue/Gray paint.
