    New project

Just bought a 1971 two-door Landau Thunderbird from an estate sale. Great shape and perfect interior. Just felt I had to have it! Of course like all 'Birds that have been sitting up for years the windows don't work but the big ole 429 purrs like a cat - really big cat. Looking forward to getting this one out on the road. I will share some photos with you guys when I get the dust off.

The 460 was de-tuned at the factory, to conform with emissions. The cam was retarded by nearly fifteen degrees. A good mechanic could turn that around by doing a proper cam/crank degree job for the cost of a timing cover gasket set. - Dave
