    newby restoration

Just wanted to post a couple of pictures of my 60 Convert that is undergoing restoration. I just got the engine and transmission back and now they are in the car. Motor is the original 352 bored to 390 and 390 internals with 428cj cam and valves. The intake is an original 360hp 352 aluminum manifold. Suspension and brakes are all done and body in paint so now it is a matter of money and putting things back on. thanks for looking and comments welcomed. Oh the car was my dads and has been in the family since the mid sixties. Grant

        restoration

First the car will go back original with a red leather interior and a black top. It is also getting Vintage Air (note the filled firewall).
The transmission is the original COD but I had a friend completely rebuild it and set it up for a little tighter shift. It also got a new TQ.
The Alternator is a small case ford 3g using CRAP brackets. I am also using their pcv conversion and doing away with the road draft tube.
Thanks for the comments I am excited about how it is coming along and wanted to share with people in the know.

            C.r.a.p.

I probably should have put the periods in it to be correct.
Stands for Custom Replacement Automotive Products. They have a lot of custom ford stuff specifically the brackets to hang an alternator on the early block. Here is a link for them.

I'm running the same mount, cept mines the polished stainless. I did have to do some grinding on mine to get the GM one wire to work right on it tho.

I'd be interested in hearing how the A/C works, I plan on adding a system to mine someday....

                Brackets

I had mine powdercoated black to blend with the motor. I have some aftermarket brackets now for the A/C and am working on the pulley situation to drive it. I am putting Vintage air in so I will report when we get it done. thanks for looking Grant
