    Engine almost done

    Here are some latest pictures of my motor, just waiting for the carb now. Our weather is starting to improve, I am ready for a good cruise!

        Thanks! My plan is to get it running right after I set up the carburetor, then switch to a new Pertronix coil and guts for the distributor. Hopefully the extra juice will improve the way it runs!

                      What paint did you use on the steel lines and bracket? Is that silver, or grey and what brand spray?

                        Thanks to all, its been fun to restore! I cleaned the lines then used steel wool, then I used a high temp engine enamel primer and high temp silver engine paint. Hopefully it will last! My carb is the original Ford Autolite which is on its way back from rebuilding. Happy to say the windshield washer system still works, my Father had talked about changing to electric pump but found a guy to fix it last year. I should be on the road by this weekend!

                          The paint is by Plasti coat and the final color was silver, picked it up at Carquest, but Autozone also has it.
