I think rockauto is one of the best things that has come along in a long while. They have more parts than you think but the trick is to find them.

When you open their site, click on the second tab from the left called, "Part Number Search". It actually works very well. You can use wildcards (* means 'any number of letters') to help fill in the details. Type in your word or words in the top box. Leave all the other fields blank and hit 'enter'.

For example, I want brass freeze plugs for a 1960 FE engine. Simply type, "brass freeze plugs", a list will appear, and click on the part number to see the application. I got down to,"DORMAN Part # 567026" which told me these parts are in the ENGINE section under CYLINDER HEAD PLUG. The whole set was there and different manufacturers offered choices.

I never would have found brass freeze plugs without this search function. They have generic stuff too, like cotter pins, tools... I happen to need a shutoff valve for the heater core. Sure enough, dozens came up. So, before you give up looking for parts, even if your car doesn't use a particular item, do a 'search'. You may be surprised that they carry Sealed Power push rods, vacuum hose, dashpot valves, bolts and a host of other parts at decent prices. - Dave
