    Pertronix

When I acquired my 1966, with the 390 cu in, a new Pertronix ignitor came with it, not installed. Part # 1281.
Is this the right unit for my engine ? Should I purchase the
    # 40011 (?), 40,000 volt coil to go with it ?

Put one in our '66 years ago and not a problem since . Quite sure 1281 is the correct one . Did not change the coil . Should put one in my '58 as well .

Yes, #1281 should be correct for your application.

Yes, I would advise purchasing the coil also.

And yes, I would advise this installation as a good decision.

      Scott.
