A machinist took a look and even had the numbers not made sense, his checking of the bore, etc confirmed it is a 352.
The date is within a couple months of the data plate, so odds are extremely good that it is the original.
Only problem is that the base coat of engine paint is Ford Blue (I learned this when wire-brushing the block in various places to read the engine stamps). That leads me to believe there is still a possibility it was installed later, and from another vehicle...or the off-hand possibility that it was rebuilt, painted blue, and then the owner painted it back to the original black.
But, absolutely no doubt it is a 352, 1960, with Hydraulic lifters.
Head Stamps, Exhaust, and now the block stamps all point to the 1960 352.
