Windshield Scratch Remover

I read this on a different web page
The man had a scratch on his windshield he purchases Quixx Acrylic Scratch Remover from Auto Zone. After about one hour of rubbing the scratch was gone,I might try this to clear up my windshield

So, this stuff works on real glass and not just acrylic?
That would be good.
