    Question From Tom ~ 0T02G

Brand new Tbird owner (to us), Tom, asks this question.

"Do you know where this part mounts in a 66 390? looks like on the bell housing but not sure. Location would be nice."

Here is the pic he sent me.

That is the bracket where the counter weight spring for the carburetor goes. You are correct that it goes to one of the bell housing bolts. I don't have a picture of one in place, just the parts diagram. Maybe one of our members who has a '66 can take a picture of it installed.

The infamous bracket that the tranny shop tends to forget about . Then, when you leave, with the accelerator peddle on the floor, you will be lucky to get up to 30 mph and not shift up in to higher gears. ( had it happen to me and many others ) .
Both holes line up with the bell housing bolts right where the accelerator bracket rubber stopper / fulcrum is located . Would be quite difficult to take a picture of it in place . Hope this helps .
