    Graphite Grease

Who makes it and where can I find/buy some at fellow birders? I tried Auto Zone and Tractor Supply here this AM with no luck. I did find that exhaust gasket material Bart for my choke stove pot cover plate, so thanks for that tip.

Are you taking about a Black graphite oily type grease -- like Lubriplate, but Black?

Give me a clue -- What is it to be used on?

It is for the exhaust manifolds to head steel gasket.

Is it to put on the gasket itself? Or on the bolts/nuts?

I didn't put anything on my steel gaskets -- did I miss that??

I believe you should put steel exhaust manifold gaskets on dry.

              Hi Jon,

I usually reserve the comment I am about to make next for beautiful women... But in the case of your engine... Beautiful, just Beautiful! I never knew that I could get excited about an engine before I became a Tbird owner! It looks great sitting back in the engine bay.

                Jon:

                Looking really fine!!!!

If you get a chance can you snap a photo after the PS and AC brackets are together? I'd like to see your brackets if possible.

On mine PS bracket is on block, and AC bracket is mounted in front of that.

I sure will Bart. All I remember right now, is that the power steering system goes on 1st before the A/C.
Did u see the water-pump A/C pulley pic as well as the A/C compressor pic I took for you?

Thanks for the comments "Yellow Rose", the state of TX just keeps getting STRONGER with classic T-Birds.
I can never keep looking at them either...(kind of like beautiful women). LOL!!!

Yes, I got the photos -- thanks.

I'm OK on the PS and AC brackets. I sent you a PM.

                    Thanks again.

Oh, Bob I've drove this car from 1993-2005 in the summers. I just pulled the heads & intake off in fall of 2005 to try and solve my overheating problem/concern. I let the car sit for too long, and recently decided I'd never have the motor this far again (knock on wood). So now I have fully detailed the engine & motor compartment.... I'm sure it will feel like that 1st drive in "Beverlee" though...

I can also say, YES, it has been great working with my father close again. It like old times, when I was back in high school, we did a lot of auto stuff together back then. Heck, that is where I learned everything that I know about cars today. I know he has appreciated the time as well- he bought me those 2 new P225/75R14 Coker Classic whitewalls. He wanted to "help" me out on the new shoes & make the car safer to drive when it does LEAVE HIS GARAGE. LOL!!
