RE: Mystery of the 1960 Thunderbird fan shroud

Yea, mine are twistd as well.

I have not done what I have hoped on my Squarebird this summer because I have been digging out the cellar for a mechanical room for my wife's new kitchen which has been temporially suspended for exterior painting and repairs.

In addition, our house is a duplex and will be changing tennants at the end of September and I have offered garage space where my Squarebird sits as temporary storage to the new tennants as the change will be done on a tight schedule.

        Factory 1959 fan shroud

I just received pictures of Ken Harkema's formerly owned 430 equipped 1959 Thunderbird.
What drew my attention was that he writes that he installed a rare factory fan shroud. On the pictures the shroud is installed.

Although this subject is re. 1960 fan shroud, is anyone interested in these 1959 pictures?

Alexander, is there a way to find out if e.g. Ken is a member of this forum?

          RE: Factory 1959 fan shroud

I would like to see pictures of this shroud, to see if it is identical to the 1960 full-size Ford shroud that I have. Please e-mail them to me, and I will post them.

Ken is not a member of the forum as of yet. I would like to have him on this forum. His knowledge is invaluable.

            RE: Factory 1959 fan shroud

Hans sent me some pictures of the 1960 Thunderbird Golde Top restored by Ken Harakema that had a shroud added. It is different than the one I purchased. The one I have actually fits better as the top fits into the recess of the stock radiator.

Compare this to the 1960 Ford shroud I bought:
