Congratulations on a beautiful car. It would have to be my favourite colour combination. That's what I love about cars from that era - they certainly weren't afraid of colour!

Thanks for all the kudos everyone. I never meant for this to get off track. These colors are nothing special and have no metal flake. Even so, the combination stands out.

As soon as Robin saw it, she immediately said, "Buy it". It suited my agenda for a few reasons:
Robin wanted it.
The price was right.
This was a Fordor; Henry's idea of what every American family should have in their driveway.
It suits our needs because we cruise with many different friends.

Everyone who sees it always comment on "the one Dad had" or "grandpa had". The truth is, 'everyone' had one back then, and fordors were the FIRST cars to be crushed. Robin & I are blessed to have a survivor. Everyone smiles when we pass. The original Y-Block really sounds like a true cruiser. - Dave

The sound of a Y is indeed music, especially at idle! My 57 is much more fun to drive than the SR's FE!!
