    I would go with the original Thunderbird bearing. The Granada bearing would obviously be too large for the spindle if the measurements are correct.

      Whoa, Mike... If you want to use your OEM Squarebird spindles, you need a caliper bracket that bolts on. Scarebird makes one that uses (GM) S-10 calipers and 1968 MUSTANG 11" rotors (Rock Auto Part #6006R, they uses your original Squarebird bearings). By the looks of your parts list, this caliper IS an S-10. You may consider changing all three of your brake hoses at the same time.

      If you use Granada rotors, the bearings, seal, and center hub (snout) are large and many wheels won't fit. The Mustang rotor is a bit more expensive but a direct bolt-on replacement with NO modifications (including seal and dust cap sizes).

      You need a booster large enough for DISK brakes, not drum brakes. I suggest you use a two-stage 8" booster and a dual reservoir master cylinder.

      Did your Squarebird come with a firewall booster?

        Regardless of whether you use Granada rotors or Mustang rotors the spindle is the same so the inner diameter of the bearing should be the same. I'm not sure why the discrepancy. I can see the outer diameter being different. As mentioned the Mustang rotors are probably a better option.

          Here's the numbers... Notice that the inner AND outer bearing IDs of Granada spindles are LARGER than Squarebird spindles. To me, that makes the '68 Mustang rotor choice clear because it uses the same BR2 and BR6 bearings as OEM Squarebird spindles and drums:

          1960 Squarebird front INNER wheel bearing (BR6):
          Width=.625"
          Standout=.160"
          Outside diameter=2.328"
          Inside diameter=1.250" ***Outer bearings have .750" ID
          Cup radius=.050"
          Cup length=.465"
          Cone length=.660"

          1975 Granada front INNER wheel bearing (BR13):
          Width=.625"
          Standout=.155"
          Outside diameter=2.328"
          Inside diameter=1.3780" ***Outer bearings have .865" ID
          Cup radius=.050"
          Cup length=.470"
          Cone length=.660"
          Cone radius=.200"

          BTW, Howard Prout, Ray Clark, Marcelo and myself all use the Mustang rotors.

            clears it up

            Thanks for the unraveling of my old ford/exhaust confused mind
            i will use the mousrstang rotors and the S10 Calapers. The booster is on the firewall, so a for sure replacement is needed. can you recommend a bolt on replacement with master cylinder?
            the Granada spindel is out of the question (too much b.s.) If i want to put it back to 60 stuff. Off to buy rotors i must go!!
            P.S. what year mousestang parts to use?

            Thanks to all

            Mike
