    New (gas) Fuel tank

Hi all i have just landed a new fuel tank for my 59,,

When i removed the old tank there was no rubber on top of the the tank between the underside of the floor and the the top of the tank,, does it need it?

Also do the fuel tank straps need rubber between them and the tank

    Thanks Tony

I changed on my ´58 last year, and there was nothing between the tank and the floor.
But it was a rubber strip on the fuel tank strap, so I put them back again.

Yep, that is correct, nothing on top, a strip of rubber between each strap and the fuel tank. That is there to ensure a good fit and to make sure there is no squeeking!
