    air valve under hood?

    Help-Help-Help !!

I just found an air valve under the hood of my 60 T-Bird convertible.

Does anyone know what it is for? I was thinking air shocks but i don't see them . The line goes under the car and i guess towwards the back. Could it be a load leveler??

    thanks for your help,

Don't put any air in that shrader valve.

The line from that valve goes to the transmission. It's used if a tranny shop would need to adjust the tansmission. A gauge is connected to that valve, and adjustments are made based on the air pressure in that line. You will see what I mean if you have the 60 shop manual in the transmission section.
