Gold Dust
Of all the color codes I have in my '60 database I only had one with a code of "L" and it was noted as having a blue exterior. Going back to it showed it was originally Gold Dust Metallic. I did list several Lincoln special-order colors in the '58-'60 OFS but this one got past me, in part because I didn't have an "L"-coded car in the database in 2005 when the OFS was being edited. In fact in the March-April '10 VTCI Thunderbird Scoop I listed colors/percentages, with the single aforementioned "L" that was ID'd as blue. I'll be revising this listing and having a revised version posted on VTCI's website some time in the next few weeks (have to do this anyway since the '59 interior info didn't get printed in the article). Needless to say I also now need to get the OFS pages updated for this and some other colors I've documented since 2005.
