Thanks for the welcome! I'm looking forward to sharing info with everyone (also getting help!) I don't know if my car is on the Thunderbird registry. I will have to figure out how to access that. I bought the car in northwestern Ohio. It is a 15 year old restoration. I do have mechanical and body issues to deal with in the forseeable future. I'll post some pictures once I get signed up as a Paid Member.

        Thanks,
        Thunderbaker

Thanks for the welcome! Good to hear from a fellow Kentuckian. I may very well be looking for parts in this area. I've rebuilt the rear-end. The carburetor rebuild starts tomorrow. After that I suspect I need to adjust the front band on the transmission. Does anyone have the dimension for that setting? I know on my Studebaker (which is basically a Ford-O-Matic) the dimension is 1/4". I wonder is the Cruise-O-Matic is the same?

              Welcome, ThunderBaker !!

Hi Marshall, There are two ways to check and see if your Tbird is in the Tbird Registry. One is to click on the link in my signature to the Technical Resource Library. Once there, cruise on down the web page towards the bottom and you will find two links to the Thunderbird Registry. One is to check your VIN # and see if it is already registered. The other is to actually register it if it is not. The other way to check it and to register it is to go to the Tbird Registry website directly. It is
              www.tbirdregistry.com

Once there, go to the Search button and the top button will allow you to enter your VIN# and see if it comes up as already being registered by a past owner.

Good luck with working on your Tbird and hopefully some of the other guys will give you the technical answers to the questions you ask.
