Which Brake Brands?

Hi Everyone,
I'm overhauling my hydraulics and brakes and am finding a lot of different brands out there. Any thoughts on which is the highest quality brand of hoses, wheel cylinders and shoes? I'm more interested in safety and performance than the lowest prices. Any preferences out there?

I'd like to say, 'buy American' but none of it is made here anymore.

Major brake component brands include Raybestos, Bendix, Wagner, Cordone, Dorman and more. I like buying the softest brake pad material I can because it never squeals and it grabs the best. The down side is, softer material usually wears out sooner. This, I don't mind.

For bearings and seals I buy, Timken, National, SKF and Centric.

I try to stay away from Chinese knockoffs and really cheap stuff because the quality isn't there. Canadian and Mexican companies supply the big three OEMs, so they are good. Hoses should have a DOT brand on the side. Metal brake line has no safety standard.

Buying new brake cylinders and mastercylinder is a crap shoot.

I personally have these components resleved with brass and they should last forever.

Applehydraulics is who I am currently using.
