Dave Dare ~ simplyconnected and I are excited to announce a new Squarebirds.org merchandise item that is now available to you! This all came together when one of our members asked if we could make a copy of the license plate that Greg Prince found in the trunk of his Last 1960 Squarebird Produced. Dave and I had a better idea and came up with these. A month or more ago, I asked for copies of the various nose or roof ornaments for the 1955-1966 and 2002-2005 Thunderbirds. Thanks to those of you who provided them to us, we were able to use them to create your own personalized Tbird License Plates! If you own a 1955-1966 or a 2002-2005 Tbird (including the 50th Anniversary Edition), you can now own your own License Plate for your Tbird.
Partnering with our Squarebirds Merchandise supplier, Dreams2Things, Dave and I spent the last few weeks creating the 18 License Plates. Dave was a tremendous help to me, teaching me how to create these plates using Adobe Photoshop CS3. The results of our efforts can be seen by clicking on the Merchandise button at the top of the Forum. Slide down through the various Squarebirds.org items available to all of you til you get to the License Plate. Click on it and it will take you to the entire list.
Slide down to: Please Choose: Style and select the year of your Tbird that you want a License Plate for. For example, 1955. A picture of the 1955 Little Bird License Plate will come up and you can click on each picture to enlarge it. You will see that it has the mounting holes in it ready for mounting on your Tbird, and the link to our Forum. This is an actual sized License Plate that you can place on your front license holder (for those of you who live in States that do not require a License Plate on the front). Or you can put it above/below your front State License Plate. Or you can place it in the rear window of your Tbird for all to see.
Below the Year selection and the Add To Cart section there is an additional section called the Additional Images section where you can also click on the year of your Tbird and look at and enlarge the License Plate you selected. At a cost of $11.95 (plus shipping) each these are a steal and you can pay for them through PayPal! Jay has given us very fair pricing on all of our Squarebirds.org merchandise that is available to you.
There are a couple of small, minor fixes that need to be made to the License Plate section, and we have addressed that to Jay. The License Plate section is fully operational and you can buy your License Plates now! Please let us know what you think of them and tell the others on the Forum to check this out!
