Hot gas from oil cap

My 1962 tbird when driving for awhile has hot gas coming through the push on type oil cap. The fumes gets into the car and causing some to get a headache. Car has 80,000 miles on it and was wndering if there was away to resolve this hot gas issue. Is it possible to install a mustang type oil cap and have this gas go back through the air filter cover into the carb?
I have original tbird scrip valve covers so there is now way to pipe it back into the motor
