    Halloween Bird

You've done it again Alexander!! I love the Halloween squarebird you have on the main page!!

Plus, Halloween is my favorite holiday so it's even better.

Can I ask your permission to copy it to my desktop?

    keep up the good work!

If you like Halloween, perhaps you might like this plate I made up for my car for Halloween:

I can send you a full size copy if you wish.

        Wow!
        That's awesome!

Where did you have that made up?
I have a couple of ideas for a license plate but don't know how to get a customized one made up.

I scanned my New York plate from my Golde top then used Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 and Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000 V2 to make up a new plate.

          This is the original:

            oh.
I thought that was a real plate that you put on your car - nicely done.

I have found a site that will reproduce year-correct metal plates for your collector car as well as create acrylic custom plates to say whatever you want on them.

            cool stuff!

The reproduced metal plates will have whatever number you want on them and cost around 70 bucks I think..

              Alexander,

I emailed that plate supplier and attached the picture of your Halloween license plate.

I asked him if he could make a real plate that looked like that...

His reply was: "Sure - how many do you need?"

              have fun!

I would love to make up a real looking plate. I have seen people have antique plates on their cars that could not be real since they did not have personalized plates in those days.

Did the guy you e-mailed notice that it said "vampire state" instead of "empire state" on the bottom.

I think I will just make up a couple on heavy paper stock and use them for some photos. That is the way movie studios often do it.

The guy can replicate your plate exactly.
His main business is customized plates.

He quoted me a $100 fee for one like yours but the price would go down if you purchased more - probably offsets the die or set-up fee.

What I also liked about his stuff is that he can replicate any year and any state license plate - you just supply the numbers you want on it.

It could even replicate an old rusty one you might have on your garage wall - whatever..

Anyway, the cardboard idea would be very effective for pictures and such.

You know that no one except a Squarebird fanatic would know what those plates mean.

I heard personalized plates are expensive in England. I remember ELV1S was bid to a record amount. I hope your bid is taken.

Here in New York, vanity plates are relatively inexpensive. I think it is only $35 annually.

In New Jersey it's $50.00 one time & 4-ever. Yearly renewal of registeration is at the regular license plate level, no extra fees.

The only downside to that is that you need to live in New Jersey.

I looked at your McLaren board a couple of days ago. There was no question I could answer.

I guess I could remind the ASC McLaren owners that their AMC motors are held in with nails in plywood motor mounts.
