While removing the clock on my 60 squarebird I came across a light that was not plugged in and I can't find where it is supposed to be plugged. I removed the bulb (#1445). The shop manual shows this bulb to be for the automatic transmission control. I don't know what that means unless it is to illuminate the gear selector and there isn't any way this light would reach there. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What color is the wire. That would help identify it.

The clue here is, this wire is on all the time along with the clock. This light is for the map or glove box. Look harder to find the glove box door switch.Member, Sons of the American Revolution

automatic transmission control
The wire appears to be light blue with no tracer. The wire to the clock is also light blue with no tracer. The clock also has a wire that is fused. There is a another hole on the back of the clock and the wire in question will pop into it but then I have two different sized bulbs for the clock. I'm thinking that somewhere along the line someone has done some jeririgging. I will have to try tracing wires. ThanksComment
