SB questions tail lights and flasher

I am still working on my 1959 SB and have some questions.

Where is the turn indicator switch (2 prong) located? I am guessing it's under the dash somewhere, but I can't find it.

Why do my tail lights burn very dim? The headlights seem fine, but three of the four tail light bulbs are very dim and one is bright. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a ground issue, or one of your connectors is badly corroded. If you have one bulb that is bright, you know the wires are supplying proper voltage to it.

I ground all my housings with a separate #14 copper wire, daisy-chained from the back, so it isn't noticeable.

Make sure all your brake-light/running-light bulbs are 1157's and they aren't corroded at the bottom of each socket. I usually put grease (or petroleum jelly) in there to keep water and moisture away from the contacts.

Your turn signal (flasher unit) should be in a holder, behind the dash. Hope this helps. - Dave
