If you have not done so already, call Bob at Bob's Bird House, or Don at The Bird Nest and see if they can help you.

1966 radiator help!!!!!!
I just talked with Matt at the Bird Nest. He said to tell you to check your Data Plate and see what the District Sales Office (DSO) shows. If it shows a California city then your Tbird left the factory with a 19 inch core on it more than likely and had thermactor emmission control system on it. Look for the DSO information and also look to see if it has any smog control on it. If so, you had a 19" unit in the car. If not, then most all other '66 Tbirds left the factory with 17" systems. He has new 17" cores for $400. He also has 19" cores. Hopefully, this proves that you were right, Dexter!Last edited by YellowRose; December 29, 2010, 07:14 PM.
