Thirty years ago, mechanics knew the nuts and bolts of every car. Now, like going to the doctor, you need to find a specialist (and they're all expensive).

Good job getting your brake situation straight. Personally, I hope you go to disks, soon. Line Lock will work just as well on disks.

Does anyone notice that with all the new cars, very rarely does anyone pull an engine out and replace it with a bigger one? If a modern engine is pulled, it usually goes right back in after being rebuilt.

Engine swapping happened frequently in the good ol' days. We never put a smaller engine in because our goal was to 'make it better'.

Well...I did. I took the 430MEL out and replaced it with a 390. With after market parts, I have as much (or more) horse power and 200 lbs. less too!

So, you 'made it better'? ...exactly my point.

            Hey Guys,
Well I'm going to add my two cents worth Just done a brake job on F-250. New calipers, rotors, brake pads and brake lines. Had the same problem, she was pulling to the left under medium braking. I had bleed the whole system and thought what the **** I will do the front again just to check. I went to the right and started the bleeding process and got several air bubbles out of that side Done the left and no air bubbles! Air compresses much more than brake fluid! So the right was squeezing air bubbles and the left was squeezing nothing but brake fluid! Problem solved!

Do you mean "Done the LEFT and no air bubbles!"?? - or have I got it wrong (again?)

                Hey Tom,
That is correct! No bubbles in the left caliper, nothing but brake fluid. This was causing this caliper to grab quicker than the right one. Therefore she was pulling to the left!

The MityVac is my new favorite tool for doing brake work.

                  Absolutely amazing.

Pump it up to about 25 on the gauge and crank open the bleeder. Slicker than you-know-what...

I got three people that help me bleed the brakes! Me, myself and I Me and myself want to stand around and talk about it and I end up doing all the work HA!
Richardbleeder, mason jar, brake fluid and clear tubing that will snugly slide over the bleeder screw! Works like a charm!!!
