I am cleaning out the garage and I have decided to sell my original '57 T-Bird Junior body. The body comes with a decent original front bumper, a nice fitting reproduction rear bumper, a reproduction grille and a reproduction decal kit.
The T-Bird Junior was an electric powered go kart produced by the PowerCar Company starting in 1955 and continuing through 1966. They are approximately 1/3 scale fiberglass bodies. Each year when the T-Bird changed, the T-Bird Junior would change. Of the 5,000 total T-Bird Juniors produced over 12 years, more than one half of that was '55 and '56 T-Birds during the first 2 years. '57 T-Bird Junior bodies are much rarer than the more common '55s.
This is a body only. There is no chassis, but the body is in generally very good condition with only minor damage to the inside of the LH headlamp bucket and the obligitory crack on the dash and hood from the steering column. It has been sanded down on the passenger side but it is still wearing its original Torch red paint on the driver's side. There is no PowerCar ID tag.
I am offering this body to the first lucky buyer who comes up with $500. It is located at my house in Monroe, Michigan. Interested buyers are more than welcome to see the car and pick it up in person or I can ship this anywhere in the country for $80 or less via Greyhound.
