My 1960 Thunderbird repair kit showed up today :

    Ebay'd Missing Hubcap - $19

    Amazon'd Air Cleaner Paint - $22

I also have brake shoes, cylinder kits and filters on the way. We head back to Reno this weekend to pick it up. Right on!

I see your goodies are coming in! With a new gas tank in place when you get her back home, at least you will know that the tank will be clean and you wont be sucking gunk out of it. Good luck on the trip to bring her home. Be careful when getting her up on the trailer that you dont damage anything underneath the car.

I got to Reno last night and am now trying to get the Thunderbird running. No spark. Trace the wire back towards the ignition...ugh.

          That'll do it.

I got it running and went for a quick drive before loading it on the trailer. Driving home tomorrow morning. Very happy!

Congratulations, Dale! I see you fixed that wire, and got her running. She sounds and looks good! Here is wishing you a safe trip back home with her. Thanks for the short video clip. I re-sized your pic for you. Gots to keep them a8 800x600 pixels or less.

Took 395 home from Reno and after 10 hours we finally made it home tonight. 14 mpg towing at 55 mph and no issues!

                Now the real work begins...

Congratulations, Dale! She looks pretty good. Needs a paint job down the road, but from the looks of her, she seems to be in pretty good condition. I think you said you have a shop manual, which if so, that is good because you will need one. Decide on what areas of the car you are going to work on first. Don't get into multiple projects at the same time. When you take off nuts, bolts, screws off, bag them or put them in a jar and mark what they came off of. Take a lot of pictures so that you have them to fall back on with you start putting stuff together again. The guys and gals here on the Forum will be a great source of information and help to you as you go along. Good luck and keep us posted with pix of how the work goes. Post them in the '58-'60 Squarebirds Forum instead of here in Our Rides. This Forum was meant primarily just to show off your Tbird.. Good luck!

Did you tell uhaul what you were putting on that trailer? I recall being refused some years ago here in Michigan when I asked about getting one of those.

Yes, for me the 4x4 factor made it work "This towing combination will work with your setup."
