Need Help with the C.R.A.P. Alt Bracket

Hi! I decided to go with the crap bracket. I got it on. (you have to remove the fan blades, but the Alternator doesn't fit. When i sized it up, the back of the alternator hits the CRAP bracket in the back. (The bracket connected to the block.)

Did I buy the wrong Alternator? It was from a Chevy 1982. Got it at Pepboys.

Also, the bolt that came with the CRAP bracket that goes thru the Alternator is too big also, but that I could drill out if I had to.

Is the CRAP bracket suppose to use only a ford Alternator?

Why not call Larry Gueths 815-634-8216 in the morning? He can probably answer your questions, and maybe provide you with the right bolt.
