    Sunvisor Help

I have just installed new sunvisors and brackets. One side the visor will stay in place. The other side will not stay in place.

On installation of the bracket to the viosr I used an X-acto knife and put a small slit in the vinyl then pushed in bracket rod.

Anybody have any ideas or tips to remedy this problem?

    Thanks
    Leonard

    Sunvisor Help

    Hi Leonard,

I had the same problem with my drivers side sun visor after Danny redid my sun visors when doing the interior. It kept slowly coming down. Eventually, as I recall, I got a plastic straw, slipped it over the metal rod, pushing the rod with the straw over it, back into the sun visor hole. It has not come down since...

I had thought similar to Ray - only using shrink-tubing.

I will try that as well! I also have new and my drivers side visor drops all of the time. Very annoying.

This is why I love this site so much. I use shrink wrap all the time, but not sure I ever would have thought using it in this location.

Hi Guys. I found THE!! solution. I took the visor of the rod and made a small bent in the steel rod that goes into the visor. Now the visor is PERFECT stuck and does not dop down anymore. And still good to move up and down by hand.
