Hood Adjustment

Hello,

I have been trying to fix a hood issue with no luck. When trying to open the hood, the left side(drivers side) does not release first time. I have to pull the release handle, go out and pull up on the hood to give it tension, and then pull the release handle inside the car again to open the hood. I do not want start messing with the hinges ect.... unless absolutely necessary. The manual does not really give me any clues. Has anyone come across this before. Thanks.

Have you tried greasing the hood locks. That may be all it needs. If that doesn't fix it you may have to shorten the cable length slightly on the driver side lock. It is adjustable.
