    Johnny's '66 Flairbird in Sweden

I took the liberty of saving a couple of pix from Johnny's website for you to see his beautiful yellow '66 Flairbird. Here are those pix.

Yup, Rick, I can agree with that! It has that nice, brighter yellow color to it, rather than Casino Cream, which I did not like and was getting some not so nice comments about it. My family certainly did not like the Casino Cream color. I was giving it serious consideration to painting it Metallic Indian or Sultana Turquoise, which is what I was looking for but could not find. Until about 4 months later, in Utah, I think it was. A '59 Indian Turquoise Squarebird that looked really nice. To Late! Sooo, instead, I decided to honor my deceased wife by changing the color to her favorite rose, the Yellow Rose. Hence the name "The Yellow Rose Of Texas". After the bright yellow and white paint job, everyone started calling her "Tweety Bird" which was fine with me, because "Tweety" was one of her favorite cartoon characters. Now "Tweety Bird" and "Sylvester Pussycat" another favorite of hers, ride shotgun in the passenger seat. The little guy you see in the picture is something that she picked up in Pennsylvania years ago at a country fair. He rode home on the airplane with her between her legs. She must have had a half dozen or more people try to buy it from her, but nothing doing! He stood for years at the end of our couch, until I decided to put him to work and make him the driver when Rose is on display. See the picture.
