Default "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..

Thanks, Dave. You are a good teacher! It looks like there will be a total of 120 pages when I finish the last article in the last magazine.

Default Those "Thunderbird Illustrated" Magazines..

Last night I added a number of articles to the "Thunderbird Illustrated" pdf file on the Technical Resource Link. There are nearly 100 "pages" in the "book" now. I have one more magazine to go through which has three articles in it, one about racing the #10T '59 Tbird. I will copy those and add them as soon as I can. Remember when reading these articles that they were written in the mid 70's. Some of the information will no longer apply, and some of it still will. I hope you are enjoying the articles. You will find the link to them right above the picture of Alexander's Black Raven '60 Golde Top.

This morning, I completed the extraction and uploading of all pertinent articles relating to the 1958 and up Tbirds from those "Thunderbird Illustrated" magazines. If you have not checked them out, you should do so. There is a lot of excellent information regarding the history and restoration of our Tbirds in them. You will find the link to them in the Technical Resource Library link down under the Magazines & Periodicals section. Whenever you are searching for technical information on a problem you are working on, remember to check these magazine articles.

Hi Jeral,

That magazine was put out a good number of years ago and is no longer available. However, I was able to obtain a set of them and spent a lot of time and effort into compiling them and putting them into the Technical Resource Library. You can find them by clicking on the link to the TRL which is always part of my signature element. Either use the Find option and type in Thunderbird Illustrated and that will take you right to the link. Or just scroll down until you find the link.

Default Power window switches

I am looking for a detail on the replacement of power window switches for my 1959 Thunderbird. I have a new set and want to replace the entire 4 switch package.
Thank you for any input.
Norman

Hi Norman,

If you will go to the Technical Resource Library (TRL), you will find good information on how to repair, (in this case, replace) those power window switches. There are step-by-step procedures on how to get those switches out to clean and repair them. You should be able to replace those old ones with the new ones. Or, you might be able to repair the old switches and save the new set as back up. The link to the TRL is right below my signature element. Look in the Windows Section of the TRL. If you do not see it, this is the link you are looking for.

Your post on this subject should have been made in the 1958-1960 Squarebirds Forum, not this one. So if you need further assistance, please post there instead of here. Thank you.

Hi Alex, I am glad you are enjoying them. It took me some time to put that all together, but it was worth it. There are 115 pages, as I recall.
