Question asking about the gearshift lever.

Hi i noticed that i have slightly wear when switching on to gears..

the car stays on park perfectly and no problem in that.. but when you switch on to any other gear the gearshift lever has some play..

The worrying part is this..

On Neutral it got some play. On D2 it got some play too .. Even On D1... but then it seems that doesnt engage on low.. ?

infact the picture here shows the far the lever can go ... how can i Know if it has engaged on the low gear... or else... what can I do so that it engages on the low gear?

I also noticed that the upper part of the column has the hole elongated so i will be soon buying the turqoise replacemnt part.. and maybe a new gearshift lever too.. regarding the low i`m a bit worried.. i know it used to engage in low .. becuase you can hear it rev a bit.. but now not so sure.. ... feeling slightly confused

Thanks in anticipation for your help fellas
