Yes. Be advised that some 12volt coils have an internal resistance. The markings are normally stamped on the bottom of the coil.
If your coil has no internal resistance you will need a ballast resistor. Coils that need more resistance usually get hot to the touch, so hot that you cannot hold it.
In a previous post I had a radiator issue that ended up only costing me $100. I was fearing I was going to have to replace it or have it recored. It was two leaks on the tank. It was discovered to be a heavy duty four core.
