Default Battery

I need a new battery for my '63. I'm going to put one of the "antique style" script one in. Does anybody have any experience with any of the manufacturers that make them?

I wouldn't be surprised if all the reproduction script batteries are made by the same company. I know that New Castle Batteries made the majority of them but they went out of business. I imagine that there's probably not enough of a market to make it profitable for multiple companies to make them.

check out

I've had the old style tar top acid battery in my 57 (but went with yellow caps instead of red because its painted Inca Gold) for several years. I keep a battery maintenance charger on it and have had no problems. They also have maintenance free that look old style too. Pricey but you get what you pay for.
