Have a 59 Galaxie 4dr with same color dash.
Was 332 Cruise-o-Matic. Should NOT have pulled out 332 for a 66 Tbird 390. Just aint same car anymore.
Idling on even the hottest of days it refused to overheat.

WOW. Bill, I am floored. Why don't you like the 390??? I mean, they're both FE engines but one is bigger. This is the first time I have ever heard someone say they prefer the 332 over a 390.

My '59 Fordor came with a 292 Y-block and a 3-speed stick. I kept and rebuilt the 292 but changed to a 3-sp COM (for Robin, my wife). The 292 may be a little small for this size body but it sure does sound and run good. - Dave

332 had a "contentedness" which was an element of the 1959 Ford magic it held for me. Look forward to getting things dialed in after 390 swap.
1959 Fords were my first automotive love. A lasting love.
Lately been busy with 1959 Cadillac & Lincoln and 2013 GT500.
Galaxie and two Studebakers are next trio to spiff up.
Though 60 Tbird should have a sound system. Window tint too.
