On Accel wires, I screwed up. The 4046 kit has silicon cores. This is OK but not optimal. Most people probably have silicon core wires now.

My goal was to get copper core wires which have much lower resistance and therefore allow a greater spark.

The Accel options are: kit 5046 which is especially for V8 Fords including our 352s, and kit 3008 which is a "do it yourself" generic kit where you cut the wires to length and crimp on the connectors.

Prices on the 3008 range from $11 + shipping on Ebay to $29 over the counter at an auto parts store. The Accel website shows where dealers are if you enter your zip code.

Amazon has a fairly comprehensive description at

I am going to get a set of the 3008 and try it out. This one is 7 mm and the distributor cap I have on the car at the moment is also 7 mm so one less change to make.
