Default Air Cleaner for 352 vs 430

Is the basic air cleaner (without the snorkel) the same for the 352 and 430?

The 430 has a different Surge tank, and I don't know whether the air cleaner for the 352 has a recessed area under the air cleaner to fit the 430 surge tank. I have the snorkel, but need the air cleaner to get back to stock look.

Thanks

I know my 352 air cleaner has the place to mount the snorkle But does it go over surge tank?

The surge tank on the 430 is mounted differently than on the 352, so it needs clearance to fit under the air cleaner.

This is a photo of (what is advertised on E-bay) as a 352 air cleaner. I don't know if it is -- but you can see the recess on the bottom. Is this the same as a 430 air cleaner?

One good news for parts for the 430 owner is that the air cleaner for the 352 and 430 are the same.

There was 1 on Ebay just yesterday, I don't know how much time was left on the auction though. In the picture it looked primered grey....

I see that one on Ebay.

From the photo, it looks as if there's a good size dent on the side -- too far inside to get at it to fix. I'll wait.

Wink

I was looking through some new vender catalogs yesterday. I think Nick's Thunderbird (could be wrong) had used ones for like $250.00

Thanks for the lead. I'll call around and ask, but I still think that used from a private party is probably the way I'll wind up getting one.
