I figured out how to use photobucket so here are some more pics for those who are interested.

As you can see, I've restored the engine and dash. I've also cleaned and repainted the entire underside.

thanks Bob.
It's kinda fun to work on this old beast.
Its character is so different than my TBird. Where the TBird is elegant and refined, this tank is sorta "up in your face" with that bulbous nose and wide open interior. I appreciate the contrast.
My Bird is my baby and is treated as such.
I got this Olds for next to nothing and I'm trying to make it into an old-school type of cruiser. Something I can drive around it and park at the grocery store for quick errands without being a nervous wreck about it.
I am also trying to finish it by next Spring so my daughter can pile 10 of her closest friends in it and take it to Prom, Homecoming, etc.
The car is solid as a rock and has power steering, power brakes, etc. She'll be safer in it than any newer car - even with airbags and such.

I'm certainly learning a lot I didn't know about working on cars which is another reason I bought it. It's less nerve-racking to work on a car that desperately needs your help and is of little monetary value as compared to one that is nearly finished and quite expensive.

thanks for the compliments.

Beautiful. That dashboard looks amazing. That is a handsome car, to be sure. Keep up the good work!
