I always appreciate good workmanship, but the back of that doesn't do a lot for my taste. Others will no doubt love it, each to their own.

Default Dick Scully '58 Customized Squarebird

Here are more customized Tbirds, including Dick Jackson's 1958Ford Thunderbird was restyled in 1958. The car was later sold to Calvin Wiekamp. Shirly Barris' '58 Squarebird. Gil Ayala's 55 Babybird and Don Tognotti's 55 Babybird. From Kustomrama and other sources.

Likewise, the back end looks like is was done as an afterthought or they run out of imagination.

The tail-lights and the panels they are mounted on 'clash', there is no cohesion.

Or better still

Is the car named "Clipped Wings"?

Ah - the "Electra".....maybe it wrecked with a Buick.

Pink pictures taken in 1962 so that was the early days of the custom cars - guess they were still trying to "one up" the other guy.

Cool

I agree with many of your comments. That is beauty of being the " owner " of our TBirds. It is their vision that counts as they are paying the bills to customize while the " purists " restore to original.
