I did read about cleaning White walls, but is there a good way to paint hem? My White walls are more Yellow walls now, even after cleaning.

Frank definitely painting the white walls will be a disaster. Go to the Search Button n the main age and type in " Whitewall cleaning " There has been several discussions on our site over the years on how to clean them.Dano Calgary,Alberta Canada

Mine went increasingly brown over a few months, it looked like the black rubber was leaching through from behind the white wall.
Anyway I tried the following to make them white again;
Jiff (liquid scourer)
Hand Andy (ammonia based)
Turtle Wax Cutting compound
Tyre cleaner. ( two types)
Scotchbrite
1200 Wet'n'Dry sandpaper
Abrasive hand-cleaner
Paint thinner
And the only one that worked was turpentine, had to dip a rag in it and rub vigorously and even then they didn't go as white as I would have liked.A Thunderbirder from the Land of the Long White Cloud.Comment

Painting White walls
Tom ~ scumdog sent me some information and a pic of how he cleans his whitewalls and what they look like before & after.
"Hi Ray, A quick hint for those wanting to get rid of the brown coloration on their whitewall tyres. As you can see there's a difference on this tyre, a 'before' and 'after' sort of thing. I used the green Scotchbrite type pad and wash'n'wax car wash plus some 'elbow grease' to get the whitewall whiter. I tried many products but this method is the best by far that I have tried. It might be handy to put in Squarebirds under 'maintenance' or a similar thread. Regards, Tom."
Here is that pic!Attached Files

After spend Big $$$ for the rims and wide whitewalls, I think I would go with what the installers are recommending. I was very impressed with the shops knowledge of mounting and balancing of the tires on the wires, and I myself, and my friend, have never had a problem with any of the tires running tubes in them. There are some real horror stories on the site regarding tubes in the wire rims. If you click on the link below, there is a cleaners and accessories tab, with recommended cleaners and how to use them. When this is needed, I am going to go with their recommendations. So far, my ww's are still looking great.

I agree with Dean and have been using this for years on both TBirsd with good results.
You can try a flexible sanding block from a hardware store. In place of that or with that process use Simple Green applied with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or a spongeDano Calgary,Alberta Canada
